The ATLAS detector
The ATLAS detector

The California State University, Fresno group includes two faculty members, one postdoc, and ten students from CSU Fresno's Department of Physics who are involved in the ATLAS experiment. CSU Fresno joined the ATLAS experiment at the end of 2007.

California State University is the largest university system in the US with 23 campuses and approximately 450,000 students. Among all the 23 campuses, CSU Fresno is the only one participating in the LHC.

Current Projects and Future Goals

We are involved in detector monitoring, testing and software, performance studies, and new physics searches. With incoming ATLAS data, the group intends to participate in new physics searches.
